What was God's purpose in giving the land into the hands of Israel if it was not first and foremost to destroy the blasphemy of the Baals that polluted the land?

Therefore the fruit of the land is not primarily for Israel's rest but for God's glory to be demonstrated in this land. (v.2)

While it seems that Joshua served as a king (sovereign) in place of God, what made serving Yahweh different from serving the kings of Baal?

What did the kings of Baal serve that was different than what Joshua and the elders of Israel served? And isn't that why God predestined to spare/save Gibeon because, as a city, she did not bow to Baal?

Therefore what does Baal represent that Yahweh will never identify with? (v.11)

If Baal basically means husband and owner, why is it being used in reference to deity in this context?

Therefore what were the kings of Baal if they were not recognized by Yahweh as gods of His righteous covenant with this land? (v.14)

Why is it important then for us to understand the Trinity and how that applies to even the Old Testament saints?

Isn't that what will set apart the worship of Yahweh from the Republic of Baal, with these false gods (Baals) serving as the secular humanism of the false government of the promised land attributing their human power/strength to the obvious reality of the Almighty God who is Most High of all?

5 And they found Adoni-Bezek in Bezek, and fought against him; and they defeated the Canaanites and the Perizzites. 6 Then Adoni-Bezek fled, and they pursued him and caught him and cut off his thumbs and big toes.

Therefore wasn't Baal worship an ancient form of neo-capitalism/conservatism dedicated to the demonic spirit of each city unified by the promise of a false peace among mere men who exalted themselves by the demon-spirit of the age? (v.15)

Therefore it wasn't Yahweh's objective to allow the evil spirits of these "ungodly" men to have dominion over His elect but to make His power known through the weakness of the human flesh of His spiritual inhabitants by doing wonders to cast out the proud and the strong.

Therefore the giving of this land to Israel was to show Himself as the singular Almighty by identifying Himself in the faces of the human weaknesses of the sons of Israel rather than in the ungodly men pretending to have Almighty sovereignty like Thor and Bezek, the gods of thunder and lightning.

Therefore this is not a denial of (the deity of grace) that is given to men as a gift but rather a rebuke of using every common grace to exalt the nature of man to the level of the Almighty, offering unto mankind the unfruitful lie that a man may choose his own destiny.

Therefore Joshua and the elders are honorably mentioned here because they lived in submission to the Law of Yahweh, which was a living Word like a voice abiding inside them, refusing to exalt themselves over the brotherhood with sinful and personal ambitions as these kings of Baal had done. (v.6-10)

Therefore Baal equals the ownership and marriage of the human soul to the spirit of Pride and the glory of man to judge and to discern for himself as his own sovereign apart from the rule of any higher power. By the strength of the flesh, a mere man can determine and create his own destiny according to the doctrines of Baal! That is what the LORD raised up Judges "after His own Spirit" against in Israel! (v.16)

Therefore Israel sinned by giving their bodies over to demonic possession in their "willful" submission to these evil deities (spirits). (v.17)

Therefore this is also a word picture into the heart of every believing individual's sanctification. (v.20-23)

But because Israel was the elect of God, Yahweh would not forsake them when they cried out to Him for salvation, for the Word of living God was established in them through this covenant of promise. And it was the deity of the Word that inhabited the Judges to exercise this supernatural faith to overcome their enemies as a Christian is given the faith to overcome his sin (v.18-19)

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

John 15:4–11 (NKJV)

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
